Channeler's Trident powerstance
I found the weapon to be quite funny, so I though I'd powerstance 2 of them because why not. However the results are quite disappointing. The PS L1 attack actually deals less damage than the R1, which is something I don't understand. But when I powerstance a Trident and a Dagger, their L1 attack deals more damage than just a single R1.

Is this some kind of bug, hitbox error or what?

Are you missing the sweetspot?

From point-blank range against an ogre? Probably powerstancing thrusting weapons sucks, because I just can't make it work. A regular R1 deals 430 damage, L1 deals 390, meanwhile a PS L1 420. If I use the heavy attacks, it's better a bit, the R1 deals like 640 damage, and the PS L2 870. But considering the heavy stamina drain, even L2 is bad for that damage increase. The L1 is just pathetic. Originally I though the Santcum Guardians are too "small", and at least an ogre should do the trick.

You don't use that weapon to just power through people, you put poison on them and then attack. They do so many rapid attacks that the target will get instantly poisoned.

I've read this before. But still don't know whether the PS damage is reduced, or the actual hits miss. Either way, rip the dream, but if the latter is true, it's not even worth using. I don't really see people with this weapon anyway.

I have used it to poison people instantly. You just need to actually hit them as that is the problem.

I see, so the damage is reduced, but not the hit count. Interesting, why would they even do that. Altough I have to admit, the poison buildup is quite good, I infused only one so far, and even bosses get poisoned from 2-3 R2.
