Do some enemies in dlc (like Sanctum Knights) have infinite poise?
I was trying to stunlock one (or at least stun him) with warped sword+5 + stone ring. Despite hitting the knight three or four times (and no blocking... do they ever block?), the knight still managed to attack me unhindered.

Was I not doing enough poise damage? Or do enemies in dlc have "infinite" poise built in?

I think some enemies might get staggered by certain types of weapons. I imagine the sanctum knights are more likely to get staggered by weapons like great clubs and great hammers. The alonne knights would definitely get staggered by your warped sword with the stone ring but dlc enemies are naturally a lot tougher.

The amount of damage required is pretty close to the amount of damage required to take them down. I only managed to notice this because I was using a bow rather than my preferred weapon, after 6ish hits (100-130 damage each hit) they staggered but I was only 1-2 hits (with my bow) away from finishing them anyway.

In the case of the sanctum bros they are designed to be taken down in a very specific way, ie. backstabs.
You´re just not meant to be able to stunlock them by design.

They've a ton of poise. You need something like Stone Ring Ultras to keep them stunned.

curved greatsword have the same or slightly less poise damage than ultras. If you can stun them with a 2h CGS + stone ring, you should be able to do it with a 2h UGS + stone ring.

I don't recall ever stunning one of them. They are either serioius poise monsters or they just can't be stunned. I wouldn't put it past From to cheat like thath.

What i meant is i tried it in ng+. Thats probably why the ugs+stone didnt break their poise.

Well, running attack with dual handing ugs can send them flying which is more fun
Just use a great hammer and pancake them, ez m8tys, it turns the DLC areas into a joke
