Frigid outskirts... seriously?
Were devs high when they made this area? Low visibility, extremely strong hell horse and Avaa 2x?
I mean, i think that would be easier to do this if I was a full tank warrior wearing a havel's and a great shield but how do I do this as a hexer? Can't even reach the boss most of the time, those horses are too hard to roll and hit half of my hp. ♥♥♥♥ got it for real.

The best area in the entire game.

dont move during the snowstorm, the "horses" wont appear then if im right

It can be done with a melee/caster hybrid if your str and dex are in the teens.

If you are a pure caster, then good luck. Its the weakest type of character in the game, imo

That's the hardest place of the game. You better go there with highest lvl possible before going to NG+
Another option is using backups when you reach the boss so you don't have to go all the way again every time you die

ok, here is a piece of answer since none of replies is right: respec into dex and use chaos blade to kill the kittins if it's regular ng. They die to it.

This is the only place where I summon someone. Just ask a friend, and go always straith ahead, the sun has to be on your right. (thanks Pootisman for the tip :D:)

They will, but not as frequently. Standing stll and being in Chameleon-form will completely hide you though.

This is the most challenging area. Just deal with it and remember: this is not ds1, so it's ok.

The first attacks by the kirin(the electrical horse mob) will always be a charge. Try to dodge that. Hold your guard up when there's a snowstorm if you can't dodge and expect a charging attack.

Also, a ultra great hammer attacks can ground the kirins in one strike, so therefore you can kill one without taking any damage if there isn't another one attacking you.

Same here. No way frigid outskirts was meant to play alone, its just ridiculous. Getting to the boss killed me 80% of the time, and if i managed to get there, i couldn't defeat the kittens because i didnt realy had any estus left.

People are often willing to do frigid outskirts with you, btw. If you want a 2nd out there with you just ask.

What is working for me:
1 - Affinity and dark energy buff at the beginning,
2 - When a horse charge I take the damage while I try to roll (It costs me 2/3 hp). The affinity takes 1/3 of his hp
3 - I get up and immediately hit him twice with my +5 Dark Crypt Blacksword. The first one starggers him and the second is the final blow.
4 - Use 2 life gems and repeating the process until next horse comes.
If for some reason the horse jump back or start flying when I'm recovering from his charge, it is almost guarantee that I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

5 - Die on the boss and repeat everything

you can get to the boss fighting only 2-3 horses and fighting none (or maybe 1) of the phantoms. Time your runs between buildings so you start at the very end of the storm. between building 1 and 2, don't stop to fight the hell horse. Dodge or block his initial charge and keep running for the next building. Wait there for your summons and the paindeer to catch up, and kill the paindeer.

the run between 2-3 is a little more tricky since the phatoms are there and there is a rampart golem in the building. but the same trick will work, and you will spawn only 1 hell horse. Approach the building from the left so you are less likely to aggro the phantoms.

the run from building 3 to the legde should be trivial. once you reach the ledge, the storm will stop and nothing will spawn. take the shortest route to the cliff, not the shortest route to the bridge.

I start with all 3 phantoms and then bc the archer chick since she isn't much good against the kitties. In fact, none of them are that good other than vengarl.

I'm melee caster but with a Dark CBS +5. I can hit real hard since it scales S with faith.
Casting helped a lot during the entire game. But the problem begin in bosses. Most of them have an extremely tight window of recovery, making me vulnerable while casting. As I said, I can hit hard with the Dark CBS but... I can't take a hit. Just tried the burnet ivory king and with 2 strikes I'm dead. I've beaten some bosses with spells. Fume Knight was an example. I fought him the first form with the sword but it was impossible to attack and than dodge against his flame sword. So I used spells. But these DLCs (only Ivory king left now) are completely anti-mage/hexer/pyro. Monsters and especially bosses have high resistance to these stuff.

I'll take these two bosses as the final bosses. Ivory king will be the last.
