Ds2 fix ?
Greetings !

I just received a gift with this game, and I was wondering. Does this game still require DSfix like DS 1 ? For 60 fps unlock and stuff. Thank you !

Don't even think about unlocking FPS. It makes your weapon broke faster.

No.

Thats not true, atleast not anymore. I heard that was the case in the regular DS2. But in Sotfs you have 60FPS regular and it doesnt effect your equipment breaking.

Never read such things. How about Iframes when rolling with unlocked fps?

My weapons still degrade awfully fast for a bug that's supposedly fixed. It degrades much faster than in Dark Souls 3.

You know what this is called? Working. If you cant deal with an equipment breaking system where you actually have to worry about that it realy can break, its not the games fault.

In no capacity does that make sense

Why? I just explained that it it is not a bug. If your weapon breaks it is your fault and different from DS3 where you realy have to try to break your weapon, here it happens if you are not careful.

Yea, weapon made from plastic can't pass through one area without breaking... Apparently the bug was fixed LUL
But let's call it "gameplay wise" because you know, there wasn't any need to use repair powder in ds1 Kappa

What weapon are you using that breaks after only clearing one area?

Most ss and gs can do multiple without any issues. Katanas break quickly, but that is literally stated in the item description of the uchigatana.

On a secondary note, what good is having equipment breaking in the game if you dont even run a slight risk of having it occur.

Also, there is a ring in the game that causes your weapon to lose durability at half the rate. You can always grab that one.

Litterally all of this. The game intentionally has weapons degradation, its not a 'bug' that your items are losing durability when you use them.
Also if you are Really having issues with your weapons breaking then I suggest using the weapon they specifically put in the game just for players like you. Its called Santiers Spear.

To answer your question no. SotFS does not require DSFix. I hope you enjoy the game and if it is your first Souls game then I engurage you to fight through the rage. Also use a controller if you have one, this game was Not meant for Keyboard and Mouse.

No it's not my 1st, I have played DS1 for about 200 hours but not on Steam, that's how I know of DSfix in the first place. But back then when I finished it for the 1st time, I didn't even know there was a "DSfix" and it was very laggy in some areas, like Blighttown ?

And yes, even DS 2 with magical dx11 has the same problem as 1st one... I don't know who made these key bindings but f*** me they are terrible and UNCOMMON ! Even worse than DS1, if you ask me. I spent 30 minutes re-binding every key and now it's damn playable !! :D
