This game is apsolutely amazing but....
No really this is great, i don't know how or why you made it and i don't know why you distribute it for free.
I do however have a feature request....
Maybe i can mod it myself? i don't know how difficult it is.

I would love a tickbox that disabled the strider unit type.

That's all. Just making it so the building cant be built and thus they can't be made.

It really throws off the balance IMO.
Most of the units have counters no matter what type of units you use.
But i have noticed that striders just kinda... win... Like i guess they are designed to end games but i really enjoy playing with the normal units, even a mix of types of normal units, e.g. spiders and shield bots.
But when the AI produces a strider, especially as some are completely unbalanced compared to others, it kind of ruins my fun.

Once again, excellent game, i don't know why on earth you made it free, however this really shows what free games can be if given the love and effort they deserve.

(double post for nicer use of the "mark as answer" option)

BTW: You can counter striders (and other large units like Cyclops and Jugglenaut) with various units, generally those with "Anti-Heavy" in the description.

Racketeer (Shieldbots), Skuttle (Jumpbots), Widow (Spiders), Lance (Hovers) and Ultimatum (Striders) are the best-known ones.
Scorpion (Striders) and Krow (Gunships) also have special attacks that you may find useful.

oh i see!, in regards to the disable option, is there like a list of unit/building names that work in that text box? it says use + to add more, so i decided to play around with it a bit, like removing certain factories, removing the super weapons, things like that. however i couldnt seem to get it to work :(

The syntax to disable units is a list of the internal unit names, separated by + symbols, e.g.
factoryshield+factoryveh+factoryhover
disables Shield, Rover and Hover factories
(Human names also technically work, but will break the AI, see here[zero-k.info] for explanation)

I made a table of human and internal unit names here[zero-k.info]

You need a prize for most accessible/interactive dev or something.
