If you wanna be old school you could play Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. Yes it's old but it's made by Splash Damage and it's 100% free.

Sure, it's a finished product. So was Superman 64 technically. Doesn't make it good. Or worth the money. But at least Superman 64 didn't rely on other people playing it for you to be able to. Titanfall 2 was decent though. I just couldn't ever get into it for some reason.
