I couldn't finish the game because I launched myself in the air with the cat. When we both fell down again, the cat didn't make it. It fell under the floor and vanished in the void. I think this is the official canon ending since the people say a maniac is on the loose. What I did is exactly what the maniac would do. I hope the cat was in pain....
