so how many areas?
No, really, one of the dungeons has no bottom, and goes on forever, so in essence, there are infinite areas in this game.
Unless they removed the ID.
Unfortunately, many of the early-game dungeons use the same tileset, but there are more. (I believe there are 5 distinct dungeon tilesets, plus the outdoor areas and map tileset)
As I mentioned in another topic, I'd love to see a cave tileset added for some of the early areas.
Not exactly sure, but there are a couple of beautiful specific areas like the Frost Queen's Realm, the Tower of Eternal Flames, the Underwater Cave etc. You are right that the ordinary dungeons share a rather simmilar look. In that respect games like Crawl have an advantage at the moment. Not a big drawback from my perspective though.
indeed this is what i mean
Should be enough variety for a lifetime ;-) And seems to be considering that we have players still playing the game after 15+ years and yet need (and want) to win ;-)
