What are the tiny icons above my character's head?
Right now I have a green star and a yellow crosshair looking icon above my head. What are these, please?

I have seen others, but I don't recall what they are right now. Could some kind soul please list out what all the possible icons above the dude's head mean?

They indicate various statuses like hunger level, poisoning etc. If you press L-shift, the game will show you what the current ones mean.

The green star just indicates that it's your PC (or an important NPC), I think.

or if you mouse over your PC, it spells out all the statuses. I'm running 1920x1200 so they're really tiny, but here are a few i see often and recognize now:

yellow ?cross? - burdened etc
yellow ?? - hungry/satiated
green circle - poisoned
red circle - bleeding
red square - muted
