Snake from Beyond [spoiler alert]
So I just did the water temple again. I'm thinking about dragging orb guardian corpse with me to get potion of cure corruption. I have never done this before, question is does it rot easily? I don't have many holy waters with me to keep it blessed. Should I just leave it and continue going deeper in CoC? Or is it worth running back with the corpse. Also no fire spells to cook it, I got wand of fireball tho. Does cooked corpse work too and does it last longer without rotting?

I got a very promising dark elf paladin run going and I don't want to make an extra trip for nothing.

It rots as easily as any other corpse Personally I only do it if I have high food preservation skill. Cooking the corpse will help a lot, though (seems like a waste of fireballs unless you have a lot of charges/backup wands).

From what I know, it rots at the same rate as all other corpses. You can try to fireball it, and you can use !oHW to keep it fresher, but I honestly don't think it's worth the trouble for a single !oCC...

No food preservation on my dark elf paladin. I guess I keep going a bit deeper then. Probably not worth it then to get one potion. Even if I succeeded somehow, it would take so much resources.

Thanks for the tip. I try keep going and not die to banshee this time.

Don't let the corpse go to waste. Eat the thing. :steammocking:

In case you pro players check this. Is my Dark elf paladin ready for ToEF?

lvl 20
HP: 199
DV: 46 PV: 45
Crown of Fire
Ring of Ice
Water Orb
Elemental Gauntlets
Red Dragon Scale Mail
Ring of Regeneration
Ring of Mental Stability
Seven League Boots [+4, +7] (Should I leave them outside?)
Some dragon slaying ammo.

I don't have that great toughness, so hp is pretty bad. I got pretty decent equips PV wise. Weapon is only eternium long sword with nothing special on it. I can probably get crowned for champion of order soon, maybe I can do that before ToEF.

How safe is it to bring good equips with Blessed Ring of Ice and Blessed Fireproof Blanket x2. I got 2x Ring of Ice I got from statue, does it help to wear both?

I already cleared water temple, got ring of high kings, cleared dark forge.

You should always bring 2 blessed fireproof blankets. I usually leave the SLB at home because I always like to have rings of mental stability on. If you don't have a backup pair, I'm not sure it's worth the risk (you can keep them in your inventory for an emergency). If you have enough ammo you should be fine (ring of ice would be useful here).

I think blessed blankets still break faster than uncursed in toef

2 RoI should be near immunity to item destruction especially if you have some luck as well.

There is backup pair of SLB for sale at dwarf town. I have used good amount of scrolls to buff my current one to [+4, +7]. Maybe I go buy the backup one for tower.

I go clear rest of the steel golems and few more levels of Ice Queen Palace. Maybe I get extra toughness and hp while doing that and that extra bit of gold I need to get crowned.

This is usually furthest I get. Tower is the death for me usually. Tho this time I got pretty good immunity to make it thru I think. I'm just worried about getting critted to death with low hp.

Although the tower is doable at this stage. If you aren't experienced I'd rather say complete the Ice Queen's stuff to get more HP.

Thanks everyone. I did the ToEF for the first time ever succesfully. I used 2x Blessed Rings of Ice and switched to Ring of Mental Stability for the boss. I only lost my cloak of protection to fire.

I only got hit like 3 times with corrupting attack. I got only 1 corruption so far. I found 3rd pair of SLB from tower and Girdle of Giant Str. Not bad.

I got crowned before tower with The Trusted one, meh. Found Ring of Djinni Summoning from greater vault (fire one. had to run away from the wyrm at this point) I used my wish for Potions of Toughness. For some reason they didn't increase my toughness potential, but I got 4 To out of them and got up to 250hp from 200hp.

Yay I never made it this far. I have to be extra careful in CoC!

Well done. Are you spoiled on the rest of the game?
Shinae Dec 10, 2015 @ 11:17am
I don't really know details of all of the places. But I do check online faqs usually after I die once for something. Like Banshee. I killed one character and googled instead of trying to figure out how to get past her.

I have heard of all locations I think, since I have read victory posts etc past several years. I try not go into details too much and keep something for myself to figure out.

I know what waits me in CoC, at least location wise. Still fun to explore them on my own without reading guides.

If I make it near end, I might read guides how to beat last levels. Just to make it thru for the first time.

The first time I took a character past the wall of fires, I took that character all the way to the end without any spoilers. It's not that difficult past the tower. There are a few tricky levels, not so much if you read up on them though. Anyway, stay alert and don't be careless or overconfident.

Hope you win.
