Restore backup

So, what a correct way of backup restoring after crash? Is there any scum protection implemented, or I may just copy adom_steam folder and rename backup file? Or would the game restore save by itself?

there should be an autosave file in adom_steam/savedg like charname.asv or something? just rename the file extension to .svg

when i want to restore my back up from my flash disk something happens. first, the processes start normally. But, when the processes nearly to the end. I got this message: "Your selected games are now accessible in the Steam Games Library. Any updates have begun downloading in the background. You can acess these games again at any time, from any computer, by logging into your Steam account \username\.". I tried to resume but it failed.
i have check my library but the games just installed 2.1GB/6.8GB. when i press the play button. the games resume to downloading from the internet
