And part of making Adom engine available. Thomas has refused many many years to release Adom source code to public. I guess he doesn't want Adom spinoffs getting released. There are other roguelikes that support this and you can make your own roguelike based on them. Also there should be roguelike tutorials available if you want to make your own roguelike. I doubt we will see released source code or any sort of engine ever.
I agree with the dev on his decision, anyways. I like how he's handled the game thus far, which means modding isn't really a concern. I mean, sure, the quests are mediocre, but who really cares about that? I've never played roguelikes for their quests, usually just for the inherent story and extreme gameplay mechanics.
