Anyway for fullscreen window?

Since the games is crashing 50% of time when it starts or during alt-tab when it is set for full screen it is better to play it in window. However personally I like to be immersed and playing in windows is not exactly to sink into that. So, my question goes - is there any way to go into full screen window mode?

If not, does somebody knows if TB is working on it? Surely it wouldn't be so hard to implement. Or would it?

Main menu has video settings and there is option for fullscreen. I guess you can probably find it somewhere from config files if you can't enter the game menu.

Yeah. I know about that, but what I mean was full screen windowed not full screen. Basically window mode that looks like full screen (aka border less windowed mode).

Anyway in window mode - at the start, the game crashes half of the time anyway. However I am able to alt tab so that's why I would like that full screen window mode.

Ctrl + m in game allows you edit NotEyE settings. There are options for bigger window sizes at least and more graphic options. If you can't find it there, you probably won't find it elsewhere.

Unfortunately there are only options to resize window or switch to full screen.

Perhaps I will contact Thomas Biskup and ask if he can implement full screen windowed mode. I think it can be done in Windows now. It was a problem in Windows 8 I think.

I think what you should be looking into is why is the game crashing at all.
I've been playing ADoM forever... and I've never had it crash on me.

I've played it a hell of a lot since it's been out. For it to be crashing there has to be a cause beyond it just not being windowed fullscreen. I know I can play fullscreen and alt-tab as much as needed. And everyone I know who plays can do the same. So it's a matter of figuring out what's making your game crash.

I haven't had crashing problems either. 345 hours on steam version. And probably 10000 hours of adom on life time. I think it crashed few times 10 years ago and once on steam when they released those moving wall things.

So something is wrong and most likely it's not adom that causes this problem.

To just clarify and make things straight. ADOM does not crash for me while in game (maybe when I alt tab) but rather at start. I have to kill it through task manager and start again. It happens like 50 % of time. I did not played ASCII version on Steam.

When I searched in Google I have found that many other people had this problem too, but it was in 2015 and it was supposedly fixed. Maybe not for all? Are there some logs I could check to see what's the problem?

Adom official forums (not steam) is your best bet to search for old bugs and issues. They keep bug/issue tracker there and if you still have an issue, you can report it there.

Official forums is a good place to make suggestion too if you want that windowed fullscreen mode thing.

Also if you need to kill task do .bat file for it and use taskkill command. I have one other software that crashes often and I didn't find way around it, so I made .bat file with command "taskkill /f /im program.exe" and I just execute it and it kills that program. Might save some gray hair to do one for adom if you play often.

Please try your luck again with the latest beta release (ADOM 2.3.5) we did today (see the announcement at http://steamcommunity.com/games/333300/announcements/detail/1446078729722728721). We have done quite a bit of work on multi-monitor issues, sizing, etc. and things should be much better now (kudos to Jochen and Zeno for their persistence in weeding out these difficult problems).
