I would suggest continuing by clearing some of the easier random dungeons (moldy, shadowy, putrid, sinister) for XP. Once you reach level 13 you can head to the pyramid and kill some mummies for mummy wrappings, which will cancel out invisibility, letting you finish Thrundarr's quests. Big Punch plus whatever shield you've found should be a nice upgrade over the two-hander.
After that you should be fine to proceed to Fungal Caves (coward + wand of fireballs for the boss), Pyramid, and the dwarven graveyard. Then Darkforge, tomb of the High Kings, and Water Temple should get you in okay shape for Tower of Eternal Flames. If you're not crowned yet, consider switching alignment so that you can do the Ice Queen quests.
This seems like a good plan, the vast majority of my ADOM experience is back in the ASCII days so I forgot about the XP dungeons on the surface. I should go check them out to try to pump up my DV to where aging and corruption are less of a threat. Thanks.
