UI Help
I purchased this game and refunded it 15 minutes later. I would really like to try it again but my biggest issue was that I couldn't actually see anything on my screen. Everything was way too small. I tried to change the resolution and only had 3 options to choose from, which had something to do with windowed or full screen from what I remember. I like to play in full screen if that makes any difference at all. Could anyone help with the settings so I can actually see what I'm doing? I basically need to zoom in. The entire thing including the mini-map were so small I couldn't see. I bring up the mini-map because I think I saw something about sizing issues with that as well in a different discussion.

Thank you all!

Increasing the size of the HUD:
  1. CTRL+m (bring up NotEye configuration)
  2. x (ADOM-specific options)
  3. z (HUD zoom factor)

Increasing the size of the tiles:
  1. CTRL+m (bring up NotEye configuration)
  2. m (select graphical mode and mini-map)
  3. z (current tile size)

Increasing the size of the mini-map:
  1. CTRL+m (bring up NotEye configuration)
  2. m (select graphical mode and mini-map)
  3. s (mini-map size)

Switch to full screen: ALT+Enter

Hi!
Can you please tell us your screen resolution and monitor setup (single/multi)?

Sounds like some terrible UX, must be a way to improve this, but first we need more data :)

OK, THAT WORKED!!! Also, it says you can zoom with ctrl+scroll wheel. So that was good.

Now I can't find a way to change keybindings. The movement seems to be tied to the number pad, only I have a laptop so no number pad. I have another setup I like in TOME that I would like to mimic.

THANK YOU AGAIN

I have checked all of the settings and just don't see anything to set bindings.

Keybindings can be adjusted by editing the adom.kbd file. In Windows this is located in Documents\adom\adom_steam.

It is possible for the game to do some special handling of the arrow keys, which lets them substitute for the number pad. CTRL+m k d , in case you are interested.

The arrow keys seem to work right out of the gate which is nice, but I actually use some of the letter keys for what I want.

So I've messed with files before in games and actually broke one to the point where I couldn't get it to work even if I completely erased the game data and reinstalled it. So...what exactly do I need to typle for this?

What letter keys do you want to use for movement?

Actually I might have found them. I'm going to start it up right now. I'll let you know if I broke this game too...

Did not work. This is really annoying. Why isn't there a way to do this in-game?

I don't see a way to add a screen shot to this, but I have anentirely black screen with a U at the bottom. I think it is uppper case.

I believe that's a result of leaving one of the commands unbound. If you press F10 (this switches between tiles and ASCII), you should be able to see the error message indicating which command is the problem.

This is really complicated, yet I'm totally sticking with it lol.
