Chaos Knight stuck in Casino

I'm playing a Chaos Knight and reached the casino for the first time. Gambled a little and won about 12k, then spent about 100k in the store. However, the guard is blocking the staircase, and says "No more babbling, bub!" when I chat with him.

Is this a bug, or is it just a Chaos Knight thing? I can't find any mention of it on the wiki. Is it possible to proceed without aggroing the casino? I don't think I can handle the shopkeeper at this level.

I assume you can't teleport.

Can't swap places with him. I do have teleportitis and tele control, but not sure how to get him off the stairs without making the whole casino angry.

PCs who gamble without spending money at the Great Gift Shoppe may find their way downstairs blocked by the Big Casino Guard. He can be moved via teleportation, spending more than you've earned on the slot machines at the shop, or causing him to attack. It may also be possible to confuse him and make him stumble off the stairs.
