Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Resolution
My resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 in the game settings. It is also set to 1920 x 1080 in the registry files. The problem is that the game is displayed in a super low resolution and doesn't fit the screen. The folder in the registry files is named 1.0, so that's not the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

There is a GameSettings.exe, which for me, is in the C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands folder.

Hopefully this will help you sort things out.

Thanks, but I've already tried that. I have the resolution set at 1080, but when I start the game it displays a much lower resolution.

I don't have 1920x1080 in my dropdown list. But then it matches my PC display settings which only go up to 1600x1200. I actually have it set to 640x480 as I only have really old integrated Radeon HD3200 graphics. As a thought, maybe as the game is a few years old it simply doesn't like the larger screen sizes ?

Its from 2010 ... so it definately supports 1920 x 1080. It's also in the dropdown list. I'm thinking I might have to change something in the Catalyst Control Center ... AMDs gpu software.

My Catalyst Control Centre doesn't launch (never has !!) so I can't help there.

I tried the low/medium/high settings in that GameSettings.exe but not sure that made any difference to quality. The only thing that seemed to make a difference was the wide-screen setting.

Also, are you using Windows 7 as google has some references to problems with running 1920x1080 (but I didn't read them, I just looked at the search results).

The Catalyst Control Center didn't offer anything to solve the problem. It says its running in 1080p, but there's a 2 inch box around the screen. I've checked every possible internet solution and havn't found anything.
