Help with 7 Days and Demon Lord Acheivements
So I've beaten the game and I tried killing the demon lord with what I thought was crazy high end gear but when I faced him he rekted me and all my shots missed him........

My 1st try was as a Warrior but that didn't work well so I tried Rogue which I liked, good ranged and melee = win win but I cannot manage to survive when going the straight 7 days :csdmad:

I get to day 3 and I'm doing fine and all then 1 OP guy either does huge damage to me or suddenly run into 5 guys both ranged and melee and they destory me, I run out of energy or health potions.

I was reading a bit here and Mage or Priest seems to be a good choice and I just tried out Mage and got to Day 3 before dieing :steamsad:

Ideas? Tips?
I dont get the priest get, Do you play it like Mage and just level magic? Does he use a staff, melee weapon or magic at close combat?

It is often efficient to be able to attack ennemies with two different attacks. Some ennemies are good with one or several kind of defense but none are good against all of them.

Priest are really good at this, as transmutation spells can both increase your close combat efficiency and attack against physical resistance.

The perfect achievement (demon lord in 7 days) is the hardest achievement in the game as the demon lord is balanced but really high level so in fact quite good in all. Having a bunch of potions at this time is really helpful, some will increase your hit chances and damage, and having quick way to restore your health and mana is mandatory.

The issue I'm finding when using a melee only class is ranged units tend to force you to move to them and by the time you get there they've already done to much damage to you. Should I also level bow and ranged combat for the cases when a ranged unit comes into sight? Sometimes I see a single ranged unit, I move to it and by the time I get to it other units appear and I take more damage then needed. I tend to try to pick 1 on 1 fights to reduce the amount of damage I take from units.

Also in terms of "Some ennemies are good with one or several kind of defense but none are good against all of them" is there a difference between using a sword over the default mace? In terms of enemy defence? I tend to find way more swords, daggers and bows then anything else but perhaps the game changes up loot drops based on your class and experience progression?

With a warrior, putting a few point in a ranged attack is good, but you can also retreat to lure your target in a known place, and charge it

With a priest, it is more difficult as you do not have charge, so you'll certainly takes more damage before having access to Heal (If you are not human). you can either put a few point in bow too, or raise some magic depending on your affinities for a ranged attack. Priest first levels depend on your race and/or any affinity you can grab in the second dungeon

I just got so screwed while doing the no deaths achievement......
I was going through each level tier twice to make sure I was strong enough to get all the way through. I got all the way to the end with no deaths, killed the culist and his dudes, then opened the last room where the princess was and as soon as I opened the door there was one of those lizard things that spit AOE acid on the floor, the princess ran into it and died then the demon lard spawned and killed me. I put up a good fight, there was also a troll (with the star at the bottom so you know he was strong) and I kept using death nova which killed the troll but the demon lord didn't die...... I'm getting better with knowing that abilities are good and was using a strat of cursing and causing enermies to go into a rage or stun them.

MOUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... Sorry for you :)

But letting monsters alive was a mistake even before starting fighting the boss. And death nova only affect living creatures so the demon lord is immune to it (it should appears in the combat log). If you have a lot in death affinity, next time try summon skeletons. They are not strong but they give you time for drinking potions and every hit on them is one less one you :)
