Often can't get in space ship

A lot of the time when trying to get into the space ship, it just opens and closes repeatedly without the yellow Y button icon on it. Moving around to every angle doesn't help. I've only ever played 2 player split screen and think only player 1 can get in it, but just to clarify I haven't been trying with player 2.

I've tried sky diving but that doesn't help. The only way to get back in when it's totally bugged like this is to actually quit back to the menu then go back into the game. Usually then the icon for getting in works right away.

Can you please describe the process, in which you are discovering the issue, in more detail? Did you throw some gold bricks over with one of the 2 splitscreen players before you tried entering?Please try to provide as much information as possible.

Yes it's very likely that each time began with chucking gold bricks in. I did wonder if that was an element but I'm sorry I didn't pay enough attention to confirm this. I think it's likely though because generally I would have found at least one gold brick before leaving, and generally wouldn't have taken the brick back to deposit it before leaving.

I don't really know what else I can add. I'll try to note details like this and do different things and will add more info here after I play again next.

Hi again, so you say you would collect bricks, then quit the game? The next time you start the game you would then throw them in (possibly while you are in split screen) ?
This is already bringing us closer to find the issue.

No you got me confused. I'll break it down:

* Land on world.
* Run around, in the process, likely collect gold bricks
* Return to ship (without quiting or going to menu or anything)
* Likely toss bricks
* Try to get in immediately after bricks (if I had them) but can't

It hasn't always happened (although very often)... but maybe that's times I didn't toss bricks in.
