Why do many consider this one of the worst Lego games?

I have seen reviews and tops where they always rate this game as one of the worst from TT games...I simply cannot understand why, this for me is the definitive Lego game where there is no limit, it is my favorite along with dimensions and lotr, but to say that this game is among the worst lego games seems like an absurd exaggeration to me

As much as I LOVE<3 this game, it has a lot of unsovled issues and werid quest chains that aren't epxlained to you in any way unless you look it up online - people had to figure it out themself and level of how complicated it is, is nearly the same as finding legenderies in first pokemon games. 1st (of all) Game breaks a lot. You often need to spend few hours to fix it yourself, cheking file compablity/updating files trought steam dosen't do anythig 90% of time. Just yesterday I had to mess with game files myself to make it playable as yet another werid unexplained bug started to occur and since not many older people play this game (I think...?) nowdays there is little to no posts on steam or reddit of how to fix these problem that started to appear not long ago (by this I mean 2-4 years). 2. Dragon chain quest is very complicated. Neither game or AT LEAST characters explain to you in some sort of like "tangled in the dialog"-way, how to do it. If you for example did quest with spooky girl and unlocked her, you might not think to do some side quest with her again in wich you place few cave muschrooms - wich is essential to get golden dragon. 3. Even if you did the quest with all the Dragon chain quest characters and you did it in wrong order, you have to do the quests once again, in right order to activate the dragon quests. 4. Spawns. Many characters such as ogres, minotaurs, dracula, Vampire lady, werewolf, black horse, dark red scorpio, grey scorpio, green mailman airplan. unicorn and all of skeleton horses (NOT one attached to carriges) have extremly low or either broken spawn rate. You look online old seeds with spawns of these characters/animals and they don't spawn for you in this world, after reloading it several times, even tho it worked with some less rare characters while I was doing dragon chain quest. You look online where to find certian characters, it says what biome but yet it is extremly hard to make them spawn. 4. Game dosen't tell you some of the chracters/animals or bricks are only found/attached to certian buildings you unlock from finding instructions in big chests. Some characters needed to 100% the game without dlc are also from codes. . 5. Game was way better/less lagy during beta from what I know from old posts about this game. 6. Lack of updates. Game had potential but they didn't added new base game stuff regulary to the game wich make the interest and replayablitiy very low. If there were in game tips, and regular bug fixes, maby addin some new stuff like few minifugres from new series from time to time, or new structures, new actually interesing dlcs like star wars, avengers, pirates of carribean - I think it would have been a much more popluar and better game. ALSO the most iritating, game breaking and nearly softlocking you bug is that you can't demage golden dragon normaly. I mean I do have crystal wapons but for months I wasn't able to demage dragon in any way even tho crystal bow should damage it and it also flew away isntead of fighting (crystal weapons are very often mentioned/shown damaging dragon in many old how to kill dragon videos - when it still wasn't broken). You have to download a moded structure with peace of land wich spanws golden dragon imported from old versions. Did that yesterday and guess what? The new wersion dragon was ACTUALLY broken while the old one from the structure I dowloaded, took demage from crystal weapons, I was able to beat it and unlock it after several moths of me trying to get it. So yeah the game has A LOT of issues, some of wich I sitll didn't mentioned, but it is extremly fun and I love it anyways. (I just hate alll of these bugs, not the game)

There is limits though... You can't build endlessly. You can't make custom vehicles like planes, boats, cars, etc. You cant make your own lego mini games that some people would imagine while playing with legos IRL.

Probably because it kinda sucks.

And I played Lego Island when it was new. Yeah.

It's a clunky incomplete mess of a game. The developers just did not really try to make it anything more. Potential unfulfilled.
