Can I get rid of skeletons / other attacking mobs, they are anoying

I'd like my young son to play this game, but skeletons attacking you all the time is frustrating for him, it gets in the way of his creative building.

Is there any way to turn them off? a.k.a creative mode in another well known block based open world game ;)

Well, if you don't attack the skeletons they won't attack you I've found. So, just leave them be. They'll attack the other mobs around, but those mobs will respawn a bit afterwards c.c

If you're already fighting off skeletons, just leave the area for a little bit and come back, or just beat them up until none are urrently spawned for the next wave that spawns to be neutral to you.

Thank you, the only problem is one missplaced button press - which is easy when you're a child - and they get hit by mistake :(. Would really like to have a "no-agro" option

Some biomes, such as the farm biome, seem to have no skeletons naturally spawning at all. So, just find a biome with no skeleton spawns and do your building there.

I'm not 100% and have not paid much attention but from my observation I don think the skeletons attack you unless you attack them first. If your that concern over the skeletons maybe you shouldn't allow you son to play at such a young age? just a thought.
