Well this might be a problem then, As some of the NPC quests only appear when you knock out or beat up on NPCS (IE: Werewolf and meat/Werewolf and meat/fish quest, Warrior woman/spear quest.)
I would like my girlfriends little girls to be able to play the game and be creative without getting stressed and eventually frustrated. I want them to be able to feel safe and enjoy themselves while playing. As it is now, that just cannot happen.
It's LEGO dammit! It's about being creative, not killing ♥♥♥♥!
In Adventure mode, we wanted to offer players many different types of gameplay (including fighting monsters) so they can choose what style of play to pursue.
It's also worth saying that it was indeed a conscious decision to balance the numbers of male and female characters in the game as much as possible - it's quite important to us as there are just as many daughters as sons!
As the dev said above, putting it into Sandbox mode would make more sense, but if we're going to have it in adventure, why not have different difficulties, too? That way it'd be more fun for those who just like running around and blowing up entire worlds with the Megazooka (such as myself, haha), and also if you want to have a bit of danger, yet aren't an experienced gamer, you can have an easier option.
My suggestion to control the difficulties would be an increase of already-aggravated monsters or characters, and maybe increase the health. But that's up to TT to decide, not me.
Yea, I remember the mobile ICBM launcher from the classic space Lego era. Toy nukes, very wholesome. I suppose they aren't really about conflict, more about general apocalyptic destruction, but still. This is not new, in fact it is a bit better now. At least the targets are already dead.
after catching the troublemakers it's possible to beat the living daylights outta them hitting F. it's not required for to get the blocks as they drop them straight after you catch them, but it's still possible for a few seconds before they vanish.
overall you're beating up someone who's already on the ground and has surrendered/given up his loot... I might get old (*sigh*) but that kinda troubled me since I started playing lego worlds. I wouldn't mind haven that feature taken out of the game for good.
Attempting to punch the lights out of a Troublemaker does not work, after they drop the brick/Gold Brick, since they are exiting the world by digging into the ground. During this "exit" animation, they are invulnerable. This is the same case with any monster or hostile character, during a combat quest, if they have killed the person you're meant to keep alive. If you DO want to kill a Troublemaker, you'll need a tranquilizer gun, which stuns it, and I *think* that lets the Troublemaker be killed. An alternative way to actually kill one is to lure it into lava (or shoot a lava weapon near it, to create lava).
Also, they deserve it, for taking the bricks you would be able to use for free in Early Access. :P
Incidently I first thought you HAVE to fight them until they vanish or else they grab the block again. I didn't know they drop the block for good after the first tackle and always hit them until they were gone.
1. "Bad" characters do indeed attack you of their own accord. I have seen this happen repeatedly in both adventure and sandbox mode.
2. Once you have 100 gold bricks (or if you play in sandbox mode), you can create custom worlds where you choose the biomes and characters that spawn in them.
