Swimming pool (best build option) question

I think my lot (see pic below) needs a swimming pool.
has anybody been sucsessful in not only making a swimming pool (because that's possible), not only been able to make a model for export (because that's also possible), but actually been able to place it underground? (because a pool requires an excavation)
What's the best thought? make it in LDD then carve the ground in-game?
Make it in-game then create a .sav file (cut tool) including the underground?

I read your post and thought I'd give it a try. I tried add terrain tool using the blue colors at the bottom (water), but too messy. Then I tried select and export in the ocean and that seemed to work the best, but it floats. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469365116

haha, I thought it was John Lennon for a second there! but yeah! that is why I hope the team will somehow make it possible for us to sink in the build down underground! :D
