World 1 Pirate chair is gone

I was playing this game with my kid. We are on world 1. I sat in the pirate chair then walked away with out discovering it. The chair is now gone and I can't get past the tutorial board. Is this a common glitch that quest items disappear? How can I get it to reappear?

i've never seen this happen before. you could always reset your game, since you just started it - not much of a loss in progress there
i don't know if you can reset just the tutorial world
that may be possible if you're able to delete individual world files from your computer. (i don't remember how to do that)
