That shouldn't be happening at all :/
You will need to go to the appdata folder and delete the PCCONFIG file that is here (remember to change USERNAME to your actual user name):
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGOWorlds

Deleteing the pcconfig had no effect.
At the time I was using two xbox 360 controllers on a wireless receiver if that has any impact on things.

We're working on a patch for this. That split-screen mode shouldn't be accessible in LEGO Worlds, so we're taking it out. News on it soon.
