Question about sandbox mode: how to become all characters?
My grandson was playing adventure mode but he wanted to have everything available to him without having to do quests. I saved his adventure game and started a new game in sandbox mode. It seems like he only can become the creatures he already had to choose from and he can't choose many of the cool (in his opinion) ones. He would like to become a dragon wizard or a swamp creature, for example. Is this even possible in Sandbox mode?

Sandbox mode is for building things with LEGO bricks in all biomes (without having to get 100 gold bricks). Minigfigs are unlocked by playing adventure mode doing quests and discovering new minifigs (which have to purchased with studs).

Hello FallingOut,

The more you play and do in adventure mode you discovering new creatures (which have to purchased with studs). And then you can use them in sandbox

The most quests are easy but for dragon wizard and some others you must do more then one thing to claim it.

What a option maby is you look for someone that wold play also with your grandson that have more discover then him and then it works also but only when you play then with 2 if you dont want play with 2 you must discover more at adventure mode

Goodluck and have fun playing !!

Yeah. The Dev team here doesn't seem to understand the concept of "Creative Mode".

Hell, they had to be asked a million times to even have the option in the game.

It's really bizzar.

So no kids will enjoy this game (adventure mode is way too complex),

Minecraft types won't enjoy it either, as no one wants to deal with adventure mode, and creative isn't properly implemented.

What's that wayyy over there? Oh, that's opportunity!

Lost.

Thank you for the replies! I understand now that in sandbox mode you only have access to characters you have unlocked in adventure mode. This is very disappointing. I have another question about Sandbox mode, but since it is a different issue, I'll open a new thread.

Out of frustration at how difficult the game is to play according to my kid, he stopped playing at around 65 gold bricks. What i did was find a saved game link on reddit. I think it had 150 or so gold bricks in it. I started a new game in slot 2 so that i did not overwrite his game, in case he ever decides to continue where he left off, and copied the saved game files there. So now he can either play the game in sand box or in asventure mode with a lot of stuff unlocked or he can play his own game, (which he doesn't) Since doing this for him, he has started playing again in sandbox mode after not touching the game for a couple of months. He loved early access, but got frustrated after the game was launched with at that stage only adventure mode. He's happy, im happy 😀
