LEGO Worlds Early Access was so much better.
I miss the building mechanics. The Huge worlds. The whole structure of the game. Now, it doesn't even seem like it's the same game. What was the point of having early access, if they were going to change the whole structure of everything. I wish it would go back to how it was in EA. I understand that things change in EA, but this is a complete 360 from what it seemed it was going to be. I used to get on and build, and build. Now I get on and I just stare at the screen, try to build something. But it's seem like a chore sometimes. The push and hold feature while building is all sorts of screwed. I used to be able to build a wall in seconds. LW used to be my favorite game. I wish it still was.

You could try Lego Movie 2 its like Lego Worlds was in EA, but you can´t build there only sets you already have. but I agree, EA was much much muuuuuuuuuuch better then what they did after Release.

I've played it since 2015 when it first came out to Early Access. They've changed so much more.

Having played since the first week of early access I don't see what everyone complains about. We have sandbox mode, as well as adventure mode, and that's definitely more, and in my opjnion better than ea

I've played it since the first week as well. I use a controller while I play and they've change a few things that made it really easy to build. I still find the game fun, and I play it. It's just I think the way the game was in EA, when it come to the controls and some building aspects, was better.

For instance, You used to be able to Push and hold the build button and move in any direction and it would place a line of bricks and it still does. Now, if I hold the button and go left, it does place bricks. But, still holding, if I move down with the joystick, it actually goes down, instead of towards me like it used to. The Left and Right Bumpers used to be the only way to go up and down while building. That is just one thing that bothers me. There are a few others.

Ah, fair enough. I've never really used a controller

I'm currently playing EA and final game, though i hated the controls on final version at first, but now i'm used to it, playing EA is horrible now (however it is a very early version from 2015). Vehicle controls are way better now (but vehicles are slower :( ), using building tools and landscape tool and stuff is much better now. But there were aspects of the free build i preferred in EA, like when you placed a brick and depending on the angle you looked at it there was a little red arrow that pointed which side the next brick would be placed, which was really quick for building, you just rapidly pressed the button/key and it built in that direction very quickly. But now there is the place and drag mechanics in the game which is quicker for building in 2 dimensions, i.e up and to the left, but for one dimension straight line i.e up or straight forward, EA was faster. Also in EA the Worlds were thousands times as big, (not infinite, though very big. Large worlds now are 200x200, and they are quite big. EA worlds could be 8000x8000 chunks.) Graphics are so much better in the final game, and better fps. EA had larger render distances though which I miss. In the final game you can save models with objects where as in EA you can't. Final game also has more building bricks, objects/props, items and everything (though that being said there is some pretty cool unused content from EA that's still not in the game). Very early EA had no maps at all, which is what i play with, and though it can be horrendous if you build a city then go exploring and get lost, BUT it was way more adventurous! You had to actually be strategic with your explorations as to not get lost! Also Mods! :steamhappy:
