Why LEGO games are always EASY ? and have boring gameplays .

The LEGO videogames industry is a huge disapointment for me, because even if the core game like avengers, Starwars, etc are fun to play with childs or without thinking too much about it. They seems to always made the games to easy.
It realy a point i want to ear one day from on of the lego games developpers. Because i realy, real y dont get it, when you see the gaming industry of famous game, and the succes of minecraft because of its fun difficulty and gameplay, i dont get why you did a gameplay like that for LegoWorld.

Well, you shouldn't really expect a game aimed for a primarily younger audience to be very difficult anyway. Especially in a game designed mainly for building. But who knows, maybe the survivor update will be more challenging, if that's what you're looking for.

When lego worlds first launched, they hyped up so much, I thought it would be designed better. Lego never produces creative games, theres actually a bootleg game called Brick Rigs on the steam store, that's much more fun than most lego games. But why does it take boot leg companies to get things right, why cant the people with millions of dollars to spare do what the people want?

If you want a bigger challenge try older (~1995-2005) games like Racers 1/2 and Rock Raiders

But my point is game for kids or young peoples doesnt mean easy for me. Take All the games famous in school yard : Minecraft, GTA, CoD, Trading card game with advance rules, LoL, etc etc. With this strategy, making game that can be played with half a brain, they wont make history. and keep the players busy. For this one game, Lego Worlds, Iam just disapoint because the building system is realy advance, and maybe overwhelming for big structurs, but the gameplay is after that is a boring "one button smash every thing around you" type

Adding a small thing : i am not whining about the devs, the game is well made as it is, for a boring childish game, but i complain about the overwhole idea they have of lego game, and how they are losing all the potential of video game licence.

Designed mainly for building? Building isnt that easy or simple in this game as "younger audience" can play dear community responsible guy. Whatever lets keep saying its a building game in truth it lacks the content needed to enjoy building, while its only easy in boring advure mode for younger audience. You know i ve been checking gaming channels for creations or people who enjoys playing it but havent met many of them XD. Tbh lego worlds gameplay series end suddenly when those streamers realize it.
You know it doesnt look better when tt games community team act like everythng is in order or just as expected.
So whats next step, a ban for me?

Where did you get the idea that I'm a dev.? because I'm not. And yes I know this game could use a lot more (like a vehicle creator, trains, creating your own cities, more control over npc's, etc.). But that wasn't my point of my comment.

"just like an old guy" XD, I'm just a college student though. Not all my games are on steam and I also have a ps4. And no I don't have anything to do with the company, nor am I neccesarily defending it. You are welcome to criticise it, just like I am welcome to share my own opinions.

I believe LEGO Games are at their best in a cooperative setting and specifically when a newer player is teamed up with a more experienced player, this can simply be an older player that looks at problems more analytically but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case.

In that setting the newer player will still get the impression of contributing to the overall progression because there are tons of easy objectives that are nevertheless essential, sometimes it's also just a matter of luck or the order you do things. Either way you have a continuous gameplay flow that both players alternately help to advance.

This is very unique and a great fit for LEGO, this formula has other qualities too outside this context but for a single player experience with challenging gameplay it can't deliver because adding components that would enable that would break its best quality.

So asking why LEGO games are "easy" is not unlike asking why Cuphead is "difficult".

I enjoy both for very different reasons and some overlapping reasons too (primarily visuals). But I strongly suspect a LEGO game with the gameplay of Cuphead would be an utter failure in attracting an audience.

That said LEGO Worlds is different than most LEGO games, because there are many different ways to play it. My niece keeps a garden world in which she collects flowers she finds on other worlds, every single new discovery she heads back to plant it there, while cute it kinda gets annoying to watch but that's irrelevant because it's her own experience.

You want difficult? well grab your math books and let's talk some LXFML generation.

Perhaps BOTH are real fans of the game - as it is, although there are bugs? And so do I... and I think I am elder than hymn and jasper. And I really do not think, the gameplay is boring. PvP? Looting ? I can do this on other games. HERE I can play - create. Just now I spent an hour or so to change the "Diner" Letters in another color, which fits more to the roaring 50s... I would NEVER do this, because I am "bored"..
