I did see one question mark on a Space DLC mini-map. Just one, even though I hadn't done any of the 10 quests yet. It was by the Alien trapped in the ship.
On the Monsters DLC it says there are 5 quests, and it says I only have 3/5 completed on the map screen, while there are 6 purple beacons for completed quests on the mini-map. I never saw a green quest beacon for any of the quests, and I'm pretty sure I must have completed all of the quests because I got the Spooky Rocket after doing all of the different quests I could find. The purple beacons on the big map are really light and hard to see.
No quest beacons for a regular new world, either. However, Gold Brick quests DO show a Gold Brick beacon on the actual world, similar to the orange rocket beacon, except it's a gold brick, that also shows up on the mini-map.
On a side note, the background color of the speech bubbles is Green for completed quests, and White when you haven't done them yet.
Also, no yellow markers anywhere for chests which I think I read were removed on purpose.
I can only hope it's a glitch. There isn't any good reason to hide quests from being on the map. The game has such a short draw distance (on PS4 Pro at least) that you could miss a quest flying right over it because it's not even there yet.
I see no way this would be intentional. Just flying in a broom over a quest at slow speeds will cause you to miss the quests because you have to stop and be stationary for a few seconds for the characters to even pop in. If you are in a huge world it might take 50 hours to find all of the quests in just that one world. This makes the game infinitely less fun. I get if they want to keep treasure chests hidden from the map, but hiding quests must be a bug. I don't think there is any chance it was intentional.
First thing to try when a Steam game crashes, refuses to launch or exhibits other problems is to check if all files are in good condition. You do this by going to LEGO Worlds in your Steam Library, right-click ↦ Properties ↦ Local Files ↦ Verify Integrity of Game Files...
Ehmn.... I have never seen that one before.
I assume you have DLC, in the Library select LEGO Worlds, right click properties, DLC, and disable all DLC (no worries you won't lose anything). Now try to launch the game. If it works close the game, and re-enable all the DLC and try launching with it.
