I missed the local bit this is just for online:
You can play co-op with upto 4 players, 1 Host, 3 Guests. Each player is able to do everything as in single player including customizing their character and placing their own saved Brick Builds.
The difference between host and guests is that the host determines which world you play on and game progress with changes to the world made during the co-op session is only saved for the host. But the latter can be disabled if you expect destruction in a world you are building in.
- Customize avatar with the host unlocks, but the avatar is not saved and has to be built everytime they join the game.
- Buy hearts but not keep them. Everytime they join a game they lose EVERYTHING they bought
- Unlock things for the host if the option is enabled.
- Acquire golden bricks for the host
- Acquire/unlock from chests, exploration tool, etc...
- Inventory share with host
So far multiplayer coop kinda sucks, I think avatar+hearts+own inventory saves is a must.
