Pirate Throne quest broken?

So I am having a problem with one of the very first quests in the game. The pirate who wants a Pirate Throne. I copied the throne and place it near him on the ship and nother happens. When I talk to him he still says he wants the throne.

I put like 30 of them all over the ship and still nothing happens. I can't progress past this point. Is there a fix to this bug? Because I played for about 15 minutes before hitting a game-breaking bug that completely stopped my progression. Tried quitting and reloading and that did nothing.

Just started a new save file and tried again. Still not working. Example.

When you approach the pirate and press A, what happens to his speech bubble? does it continue to ask to accept the quest?

Yeah, just that same thing that's in the screenshot every time.

If you're on pc, mabye try uninstalling and reinstalling? It might still work if you're on console as well. Also, try talking with him over and over and press A until it finally accepts it, sometimes when I accept quests on controller/console, it takes a few tryes.

You said you "copied" the throne? You actually need to discover it, buy it and place it in the game. I don't think a copy works if you used the copy tool that is. Then again, I don't think you have the copy tool in the first tutorial level. Did you use the discovery tool to place it in the game?

this is the correct answer he is hitting the wrong button. you can tell because the quest is not accepted. My girlfriend was doing the same exact thing.
