Discovery tool gets stuck

Hi everyone! So I encountered a bug that seems to be new to me since the latest patch and was wondering if others have this problem too.

Basically the bug is that whenever you have an item in your minifig's hand and you switch to the Discovery tool, the tool gets stuck in the minifig's hand. You can walk with it and discovery stuff but can't put it away and can't switch to anything else. Anyone else has this problem as well? (I use an Xbox 360 controller by the way.)

this has been since the start of V1.... you can get rid of it again but you have to click specific buttons (dunno about controller) and soe of the normal ways dont work.

Thanks, I didn't know that this was a bug since the release of V1, haven't encountered this before.

Well, I saw this bug the first after the latest patch, so maybe the encounter rate got higher.

This is not new, its happend to me since 1.0, also with other tools/items.

To fix it just press an arrow key (or i guess a direction on the dpad? i dont use controller srry) to pull another item out of your inventory.

It doens't work on controller, the only way out is doing something that forces the tool remover, for example, entering in water. I can reach the keyboard and change items though. This is bad for multiplayer sessions.

I discovered that you can cancel the item again with the discovery tool to avoid the issue. So if you grab the discovery tool with an item in hand and later get an item, don't press down to pocket them, just get the discovery tool again.

Been having this issue for the past couple of days, glad to hear it isn't something just on my end. I use a PS4 controller when playing this game and honestly the only way I've been able to fix the issue when it happens besides quiting is just pausing the game and pressing the skydiving button.

You can also
- Hop on a mount
- Hop in a vehicle
- Open a different tool (for example landscaping or block placement)
- Open inventory and pick a item
- Jump into water (deep enough for swimming) for a second

There are more options when using the keyboard, for controller you get more "stuck" not being able to change item, open inventory and other tools.
I didn't test the hop option on controller, jumping in water ( does lava work too?) works.

it hapend when you close t osom vehicel usualy when you equip discovery tool and press Q and it cant select vechicle cos it not show Q above it the game dont know what too do and lock menu TAB only way is to pres left or right arow on you keyboard to unnlock switching items
