painting question

i've had 2 quests one i had to paint a paintball arena with ice & in a desert a landing strip a dark red sand. The color choices has neither ice or dark red sand. Are there colors acquired? I tried similar colors but the quest didn't recognize (snow vs Ice i.e.).

When you go to a new biome, new colors are unlocked. You prob need to go to one of the 2 desert areas for the first time for the red sand, and the artic biome for the ice.
