i am not able to unlock any gold brick

i've been looking for one for a longer time rn, only to find either bones or food or crystals.
it's really annoying, and i know it isn't a bug, (unfortunately, because if it were, it could have been fixed) it's basically impossible to find a chest that doesn't contain unimportant items

I do not know if this is correct b ut it seems like the more of those little fetch questst you complete the moer likely it is for one of them to have a gold brick at the end of it, as I say this is just a theory and would need someone else to confirm it.

I have hopped worlds quite a lot, explored, done quests and then if nothing showed up hopped again, inconvenient but sometimes it happens, worlds are procedually generated so guess it is hit and miss as to how many gold bricks you get depending on luck

chests only occasionally have gold bricks, you should try going to the light green beacons in the world, they have quest givers which are more than likely to give you a gold brick

I'm having the same issue. I've been receiving about 3 bricks per world, via chests or quests, but once I hit 79 bricks I've played for an hour and half and haven't find a single gold brick. I have done tons of quests and opened plenty of chests, on top of that none of the random events that reward gold bricks appear anymore. I would have well at 100 by now but haven't got a single one since 79.

Try the balloon trader, she sells gold bricks every now and then, might be that u at some point have to buy 1 from her to get further bricks in the world?

Just run around the map gold bricks usualy will spawn mostly rescue mission , if its still hard to find go create new world there is no reason to stick with current world but keep it for later if you feel there are still discoveries you'd like to discover

i completed the rescue mission like 20 times now and i was always awarded studs, i've been on about 5 diffirent huge self created worlds, and i have collected all the discoveries i want, but i'm trying to get at least one gold brick now and i haven't even seen any indicated on the map

Total there are 40 from chests, 10 from the seller and 10 from the troublemaker. The rest are green dot quests and wandering character quests. There are exactly 200 total in the game right now and finding them all unlocks something.

150 from quest ther is list of npc and gold brick they giv corect number per npc only certain quest giv gold bric but you need unlock do other quest to do them and only then yo ucan get thos quest from npc and get bric som quest are trigered be the defence npc from zombis or skeletons or bandits only then npc on quest hub dot wher stand npc whit quest gwil talk to you and giv yo uquest som quest are locked if you alredy got item in inventory tahy wil giv you after complete it you need then sel the item or find other npc that need that item

after a while chests wont drop golden bricks anymore

for me: after about 80 golden bricks they stopped dropping from chests

I got 100 gold bricks so easily , just don't focus doing the same things i got some from chests , some from troublemakers some from quests , you get gold bricks randomly by doing random things , its not focused to do it in one way , what i found about chests is you got higher chances when there are a lot of chests near you and the luck also migjt affect on how fast you are getting bricks , you might get 5 bricks in row by chests or might find 1 on every 5 chests , if is that so try to look for troublemakers or doing quests , or go traver to new world , probably world size would affect how fast yoy are getting bricks i think medium world would be easier because everything is near you and there are less characters / chests or whatever it is so the golden brick will spawn near you and its spread on smaller area which will you will get higher chance to find it , i got 17 bricks only from 1 world and didn't feel it was difficult , taking long time , yes but not difficult

200 gold bricks isn't something that takes an insane amount of time so I'm not sure why you would say that. It's just like completing any other game. I mean, that's why I buy them.
