Game randomly freezes

Hello,

My problems is that game randomly freezes, and I have to reset computer or ALT+CTRL+DEL and logout, (Depending if I play windowed or fullscreen mode.)

This freeze problem occurs in other lego games too, LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga and LEGO® Star Wars™ III - The Clone Wars™.
Sometimes you can play over hour, sometimes just 10min. Its totally random.

I have tryid different windows compatility modes, different nvidia drivers, different screen resolution and refresh rates, different game settings, reinstalling steam and games.

I have latest Windows updates, drivers for my GPU,motherboard and even latest firmware for my ssd.
Default settings from bios so no overclocking or XMP profiles.

My son doesn't want to play anymore these games because they just hangup, please I need help with this because I can't find out what is causing this.

Other games like Witcher 3, Starcraft 2 etc works fine and doesn't freeze.

Intel Skylake i7-6700k
Asus Maximus Hero VIII
Asus Strix GTX 980Ti
G.Skill Trident Z, DDR4 3200MHz 32GB
Crucial MX100, 256GB

Windows 10 64

This was happening with a friend, does your son play online?

Nope only local or what it is called.

Im having the same issue(probably).
Have you tried switching the DX versions? I went from 11 to 9 as people suggested, but for me, it didn't really help other than an overall fps gain.

How you change it? Thought it is game related in game settings what dx version to use?

But I updated all dx9 files but that didnt help either.

Hmm, I have totally missed that setting, have to try it. If it uses older dx as default that would explain freezing of the older lego games as well.
