You can though... you have the option to play online or on your own on a new world.

Check LW's loading screen before the main menu - it mutters "Connecting to Lego Worlds Server" before loading the main menu.

Another online only game? Didn't know LW is an online only game! Hope this change soon, don't want another SimCity tragedy!

Well heck... Another change no one asked for.
Smash in face of players and EA players... No more reason to play for me, anyway game will die unplayable.

Make building more easy and adequate, nope, inject kill switch inside game...

It probably just logs on so you get the shared content screen and such.

I blocked the game from connecting to the server, and the game runs just fine, its probably for the CO OP part it needs to be online for. so its not forced online.

@matthew how do you blocked the game from connecting to the server ? , I started steam in offline mode and wanted to stream the game on twitch, but the game connected to the internet and it was really laggy (the stream not the game) :(

It works with no internet. I had a magical way of testing this O___O
I... Unplugged my ethernet cable...

Okay, jokes aside, yes, it works without internet.

Isn't it only to download these 2 models - octopus and house? Maybe they're planning to release more and some kind of workshop for players.

using a firewall, if your using windows firewall, I recently come acorss a nice program that blocks outgoing connections, its called

windows firewall control. you do have to pay to unlock it, but not much, but very good program.
