Is there a Creative mode like in Minecraft?
My son doesnt like to play survival on Minecraft so he spends hours on creative mode building anything he wants and experiencing the world he created.
Is there something similar like this in Lego worlds? I bought him Lego Dimensions and he didnt like it because he has to do quests and the such. He just wants one big sandbox creative world with unlimited supplies.

Then no its not the game for you. I bought it in early access for this exact reason as I thought it would be like minecraft in that you could you do whatever you wanted. You can but only after tutorial levels, which then unlocks SMALL and i repeat only SMALL worlds. BUT you also have to discover lots of things and the rest is hidden behind quests. If you want something like minecraft creative mode this isnt the game.

As has been said the developers are CONSIDERING this, but I'd personally wait to see if they ever do or not

I would not jump to conclusions just yet, the Devs are reading that there are people who love to build right away and have access to all... so cheat codes might be the easiest way to achieve this.... and there has been a cheat released for bricks... this game is far from final, this is just the beginning of the fun! so I say don't give up!
I have a beautiful world I made that I am having trouble making it show up but I am sure things will work out later as well... it is only a matter of time until some major bugs are solved

Right now, it's Yes - BUT - 'some assembly required'. My son is the same and loved the Early Access version but got frustrated and tired of other Lego games. Now it's changed there are obstacles, but if you play along at first or just prep the game a bit for him, you will eventually be able to work the game back up to the point that it's fairly free to roam around and experience what ever.

However that 'assembly' really does rely on how much time/will you have to commit to playing along with him or just going at it yourself to unlock things. It took about 5 hours of me doing quests and my son doing his own thing to unlock the medium worlds, which also unlocks the arctic. Still only have maybe 10% to 15% of all bricks, but there is a cheat code for that. Have probably at least a dozen character costumes, and probably the same amount of animals. Lots and lots of props/trees/furniture/etc pieces (every single one collected by myself, because my son wouldn't stop to zap them himself to capture them).

So at this point, while it's not as open as the EA version, it does allow for a fairly free play experience. My son spent a while today placing down grandfather clocks ("Saloon Clock" in the game I think, from the Wild West biome) and green apple trees.... he said the clocks were angry birds and the trees were bad pigs. He had this massive block built prefab for the pirate tower in the middle, which was the mighty eagle. Crazy imagination. Anyway point is he was in his own world in a forest just doing what he wanted. That right after he found a giant beanstork that went right up into the clouds with a castle on top. Getting to do stuff like that he wanted and playing like 4-5 hours straight today was a pretty big endorsement for the game.

None the less, some of us are making our opinions to the Devs clear (via the forum) that we want an unlocked 'creative' mode just like Minecraft, and it appears they are at least monitoring the comments. Hopefully this will mean immediate access to all things like the world size, biomes, props, costumes, etc, so free thinking kids (and exploring/master builder adults) can just get in there and do what they want without brick walls cutting them off from great things on the other side.

Very informative post .. thank you.

I just read that the devs just allowed a cheat that will make all the bricks available right away. So clearly they are listening to the feedback.
