I've updated the instructions above!
What in the world, you're doing it the hard way....
You can just view which files are being accessed when you are in a world, the game will read and write to .CNK files, just look at the file path to find the directory. There are specialized tools for this but there is one included with Windows too, Resource Monitor, the Disk section.
Kinda surprised this thread wasn't shut down yet, I helped you because as you said you would have created your world in Sandbox if it were available, but let's be clear, you're essentially circumventing the deliberate firewall between the two game modes, i.e. exploit territory.
Fortunately it doesn't break adventure mode just yet because the game now tracks the creation source of a prop.
Alternative steps no special tools needed:
Go to adventure world do something save.
Go to sandbox world do something save.
Exit game.
Backup (just for safety)
Go to files, sort folders by changed date, switch newest folder names.
Start game again.
Enjoy Building again.
