Thank you for updating your post, judging by your edit, have you since been able to find the saves you were looking for?
- Ubisoft Support
Yes. For future reference, I may try to generate a save with the original .exe then copy it to the folder that the modified file reads before advancing further in the game, hopefully that will allow a smooth ultrawide experience.
21:9 and 32:9 screens are cool, but getting rid of the black bars can give quite the headache.
For future reference, by default the games save and config files should be located here -
Save file locations:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<USERID>\4
Settings file location:
C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed 2\Assassin2.ini

Hello. Does the savefiles usually get upload to cloud with the launcher?
Also, On Steam controllers arn't supported for AC 2. I remapped and can play the game but I cant use the wheel well to change weapons and such since the joystick is just 4 ways (like the D-pad) Any thought about fixing this? Since it works with the first one.
