Why is this game unpopular?
This game was just amazing although very old, and I played it for serveral years of my childhood. How do people not realise how amazing this game is?

The main reason the games were never that popular is because once it was clear to Disney that the film version was unsuccessful they pulled support. They released a bunch of games at the same time and then pretty much abandoned them. The PS2 game was met with poor reviews-same with the other games. In fact Battle at Procyon got decent reviews and a rather impressive Metacritic score for what it was (a movie based title) but too much damage had already been done. It just didn't get enough sales.

In fact I'm surprised Disney kept the server going for as long as they did.

It was very heartbreaking for the team who made this game to see support pulled for the movie and then the game.

beside this game i also liked an 3D Plattformer on the PS1

Its maybe nothing special but it was quite nice not to mention that it used cutscenes from the movies

There are many amazing but unpopular games out there.

Some wise words (about monetary success, but it's strongly linked to popularity) :
A game’s monetary success is based on four things, ranked in order of importance:
1) The size of the target audience
2) The product’s market visibility
3) The price point of comparable existing products
4) The quality of the game
