Petition for an English dub (For those interested)

For those of you who enjoy Funimation's stellar English dub on the Anime. Please consider signing this petition to let Bandai Namco know there is a demand for it.

They have already expressed interest in it themselves, as noted on an update on the petition page, and have stated they have passed the message along to KOEI.

I know petitions do not guarantee results, but it's still worth a shot.

I agree with some of the other people. I grew up watching One Piece on toonami around 10 years ago. Once I rediscovered one piece about 4 years ago I couldnt stand the english voice of luffy and co. Further, characters like caesar, fujitora, etc. have never appeared in the english dubs so I doubt they will hire new actors for it. Wont sign because it wont happen.

It just finished Thriller Bark, so no saboady, marineford, impel down, amazon lily, etc.

And my god, does english brook sound awful.

English Brook doesn't sound that bad tbh, i think the voice that they picked for him suits the character. If you want a bad voice, take a listen to Japanese Franky, now he sounds awful.

English Brook doesn't sound that bad tbh, i think the voice that they picked for him suits the character. If you want a bad voice, take a listen to Japanese Franky, now he sounds awful.

I would rather have english dub as an option since I don't always have the time to read what the subtitles say. Honestly, sub-only idiots can be real insensitive pricks.

That's not really the issue here. The issue is that the dubbed version is only at enies lobby (Currently) so any characters after said point would not have voices, and bandai namco would have to hire people to do them. So many characters like WB, Marco, Akainu, Kizaru, etc. havent even been in the dubs yet.

Hello from a sub-only idiot. The problem with the dub option is they'd only be able to have the english dub for part of the game. Funimation has only dubbed One Piece episodes up to the end of the Thriller Bark arc, which means about they'd have to hurry up and dub for the last one-third of the game. It's impractical, and is 100% not going to happen this time. Maybe by Pirate Warriors 4, if they make one.

I don't care that you "don't have the time" to read. Find the time, and stop asking for dubs. All dub voices are horrible, and whoever is bashing Franky's voice actor, that man is perfect in the role, he's one of the best.

I don't care that you "don't have the time" to read. Find the time, and stop asking for dubs. All dub voices are horrible, and whoever is bashing Franky's voice actor, that man is perfect in the role, he's one of the best.

He gave a reasonable answer for why he didn't like subs; reading the subtitles. To which your rebuttal is that dubs are simply ♥♥♥♥ and he is wrong, although Mr. Yao does do a good job on his roles, I also enjoy Mr. Seitz roles.

not gonna happen

The english dub is way too far behind (its like 7 or 8 years i think) behind the japanese version

and there are literally hundreds of characters they'd have to pick actors for and sign contracts for them.
