Strongest Character for Nightmare mode and why

Hi guys,

Im here to figure out who you guys think is the strongest Character for Nightmare mode and why so. It would be nice to state your reason, how you use them and what skills you attached to them.

So I tried out a few characters, like e.g Shanks and Fujitora (both in dream mode only) and I don't find them OP at all (Guess Im pretty noob). I've read other forums and noticed that these 2 guys have been mentioned a few times. Some other characters mentioned are Ace, Sabo, Doffy, Tashigi.

Personally I feel Whitebeard is the most OP so far and this is why.

Skills attached are: Stylish++, Battlefield Charisma++, Unique Action Enhancement++, High Tension++ and Miraculous Strength++.

So this is what I do: Spam Unique Action button (The one where WB shatters the air). The damage isn't so great but what I like about it is that it covers a wide area and knocks everyone back. Great for mass killing. So even when those Giant captains or enemy commanders have their 'shield' on, it doesn't really matter because you can just knocked them back till you stun them and then you use light attack x4 + 1 charged attack till they are dead.

So far after I have been doing that and Nightmare mode has been a breeze for me.

I would be nice if you guys could share your experience too. After all, if Whitebeard isn't available for selection during the first attempt of Nightmare mode, I would probably be stuck. Cheers!

Shanks is busted because of his R1, very easily abusable even in Nightmare log.

Right now I'm using Akainu a lot, drop his R1 and use STTT & SSST strings. It will create eruptions that do tons of damage to everything in a pretty decent sized radius around the R1. Unfortunately, being hit by anything will cause his R1 skill to go away. But if you can get bosses in a corner with one, it will shred even in Nightmare log. Fun stuff.
