How many anime episodes should I watch before playing this game?

I am currently just started watching one piece. I wanna know if I can play this straight away or should I watch anime first? If then, how many episodes?

The game is quite enjoyable without prior knowledge of the story, but it skims through story arcs rather lightly, leaving many story elements and character motivations vague. If you plan to watch the anime or read the manga, I do recommend doing so before playing. The game will contain spoilers to the manga/anime, and on the other hand knowing the real story will let you enjoy the game's characters more.

The game's story mode, Legend Log, encompasses the entire story until the Dressrosa arc. That arc wasn't complete when the game was released, and the game contains a non-canon version of it. In other words, the game follows the canon story until the anime's episode 625, the last episode of the Punk Hazard arc.

It's quite a lot to watch! If this feels intimidating, I recommend reading the manga instead. It's the much faster option.
