The problem with the game's video playback is that it runs the videos as subprograms using the default media player. This can fail due to at least the following reasons (in estimated order of rarity):
* Windows denies permissions to run the subprogram: Flag oppw3.exe to run as an administrator. (User profiles with admin privileges may not need this, depending on Windows version.)
* The game fails to parse the file path of the video or the save file: Windows language settings and/or user names may cause this. Usually not an issue on english systems. Make sure that the following folder structure exists within your Documents folder. If it doesn't, create it manually: "<documents>\BNE\One Piece Pirate Warriors 3\SAVEDATA\"
* The game fails to use the desired/required resolution: Try running in windowed mode or in 1280x720 resolution. Update your graphics drivers. Do not use a laptop with an integrated Intel GPU. (sufficiently compatible GPUs with supported driver versions don't need this)
* Playback fails due to broken audio: Reduce the audio quality of your default playback device to DVD quality (48kHz, 16-bit) in the Windows control panel. (sufficiently compatible devices don't need to do this)
* The default media player is unable to run the video: Update and/or repair the install of your media player and video codecs.
im currently running the latest nvidia driver,
i dont know the standard window media player seem to be able to play the files normaly i think it is kinda odd that over half the movie files are empty
Hmm, what to try next... The admin mode thing is BY FAR the most common solution to this. I guess one reason could be some background process interfering. Try turning off Afterburner, recording softwares etc.
What hardware are you running on and what's your screen's native resolution?
