Beat Dressrosa, games crashes
Fantastic. Just spent an hour on this needlessly long stage getting all the treasure events and legend log pieces, the second I beat Doflamingo, it crashes. Grade A quality bamco.

The unfortunate truth here is that the game is not crashing but has some problems loading this final cutscene and I bet you was impatient and ended the process manually since there was only an unresponsive black screen. But if you wait a bit and press start it'll ask if you want to skip this cutscene and after saying "yes" everything will be working again.

Haha, this time I tried to save before I fought doffy and it crashed when I saved instead. Excellent quality game.

I didn't have any issues at all during the entirety of the game, am I finally the lucky 1%?

didn't met any crash on this mission.
did you had crashes on other mission (usually the one with ennemies attacking the whole battlefiled) ?
ShybaW Mar 9, 2017 @ 1:36pm
No. It all went well until Thriller bark. Had the same crash after beating Oars. Not the first time, but the 3rd or 4th time it appears :/ It's like I finally kill it and them black!

The game seems to have problems with various system settings, hardware and even driver versions. People most often crash on cutscenes but it sounds like your crashing is somewhat random. Hard to say what's the cause, you'll just need to try out things. I'll list things I know which help with the different causes:

* Verify integrity of game cache
* Flag oppw3.exe to run as an administrator
* In Control Panel -> Sound, set your default audio playback device to DVD quality (16 bit, 48 kHz)
* Unplug any unused gamepads and control peripherals when playing. Only keep what you need.
* Disable any capture software and overlays (including the Steam overlay), which may interfere with the game.
* In your GPU's control panel software, set the game's graphics options to Application Controlled, most importantly anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
* In Control Panel -> Device Manager, open up Human Interface Devices and disable everything listed as "HID Compliant Device".
* Try turning off exclusive full-screen mode.
* Try turning down in-game graphics options.

Hope this helps!

If anyone still experiencing crash, before intro or video playback related fullscreen or not. Also experiencing crash on other games. And no luck reinstalling all the redists and drivers. Also by chance using K-lite codec pack. Try updating to newest K-lite codec pack, solved mine.

if you have random crash quite often, disable HID stuff in your computer's hardware manager.
like this, bamco support helped me on this.

Dear Customer,

Please try the following workaround:

Remove all perpherals on your system with the exception of your mouse, keyboard and controller.
Go to Windows Start Menu.
Select "Computer".
On the Window that comes up right click on the white space. On the drop down select "Properties".
In the left hand menu select "Device Manager".
In Device Manager find "Human Interface Devices" and open it.
Click on "HID- Compliant Device" and go to the "Driver" tab.
Disable all devices labeled with "HID".

Let us know if this works.

And now I'm having a problem where the BGM just stops after every cutscene and doesn't come back until I save and quit. I think I've hit upon the unholy goldmine of bugs
Are you guysusing trainers? When I turn the game on without a trainer, I can see the cutscenes fine.

That almost sounds like some kinda alt-tab issue. Might be related to full screen. Try running in windowed mode.

I know it isn't addressed to me, but, you still need to alt-tab when you play in windowed mode. :/

Well, yes, but you shouldn't need to when you play this game.

That behaviour sometimes happens with other games too, usually with resolution changes when tabbing out of full-screen games. It may happen here because the game runs videos as a subprogram in 720p (it launches the default video player when doing so). Not sure why the sound bug would happen for you here but not others, I'm just guessing at a solution. Windowed mode might help.

Now that I think about it, when I made the screen smaller than the default size, weird things would happen...

If I play it in windowed mode and I turn off the game and turn it back on again, the window goes super tiny.

If I play it in Fullscreen however, instead of giving me a "in 5 seconds, it will go back to the default resolution" message, the screen goes black and getting it back to the original resolution/windowed mode is based on pure luck and timing.
