did you had crashes on other mission (usually the one with ennemies attacking the whole battlefiled) ?
* Verify integrity of game cache
* Flag oppw3.exe to run as an administrator
* In Control Panel -> Sound, set your default audio playback device to DVD quality (16 bit, 48 kHz)
* Unplug any unused gamepads and control peripherals when playing. Only keep what you need.
* Disable any capture software and overlays (including the Steam overlay), which may interfere with the game.
* In your GPU's control panel software, set the game's graphics options to Application Controlled, most importantly anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
* In Control Panel -> Device Manager, open up Human Interface Devices and disable everything listed as "HID Compliant Device".
* Try turning off exclusive full-screen mode.
* Try turning down in-game graphics options.
Hope this helps!
like this, bamco support helped me on this.
Dear Customer,
Please try the following workaround:
Remove all perpherals on your system with the exception of your mouse, keyboard and controller.
Go to Windows Start Menu.
Select "Computer".
On the Window that comes up right click on the white space. On the drop down select "Properties".
In the left hand menu select "Device Manager".
In Device Manager find "Human Interface Devices" and open it.
Click on "HID- Compliant Device" and go to the "Driver" tab.
Disable all devices labeled with "HID".
Let us know if this works.
That almost sounds like some kinda alt-tab issue. Might be related to full screen. Try running in windowed mode.
Well, yes, but you shouldn't need to when you play this game.
That behaviour sometimes happens with other games too, usually with resolution changes when tabbing out of full-screen games. It may happen here because the game runs videos as a subprogram in 720p (it launches the default video player when doing so). Not sure why the sound bug would happen for you here but not others, I'm just guessing at a solution. Windowed mode might help.
If I play it in windowed mode and I turn off the game and turn it back on again, the window goes super tiny.
If I play it in Fullscreen however, instead of giving me a "in 5 seconds, it will go back to the default resolution" message, the screen goes black and getting it back to the original resolution/windowed mode is based on pure luck and timing.
