If you get a nuclear button, than get one more slot from the phone, you will get 8 slot instead of 7 (so you can get 7 slot wile having nuclear button and megaphone at the same time, also if you throw away the magaphone you will still have 8 slot) I didn't test it but I think if you get a megaphone, than a extra slot, than throw it away, you will end up with 10 slot (That's extremely op)
Can you don't fix the bug and keep it like a special strategy? It is actually pretty hard to get to that situation. And the community will be happy for that because it makes more possibility without making it too unfair.
[A]=1slot item
[NN]=nuclear button (2slot but 1item)
[X]=blank slot
[C]=+1 phone slot (blank)
1 - 1slot item x5 and nuclear button
[A][A][A][A][A][NN] 7/6
2 - get +1 phone slot
[A][A][A][A][A][NN][C] 8/7
3 - throw away nuclear button=2 blank slot
[A][A][A][A][A][X][X][C] 8/5
8 slot remaining
I go test it
But since the item count is shown as 7/6, it's definitely counting as a "2-slot item".
I think this is intentional.
