I think it should be a halving of what you have earned in the round so far, rather than 0%ing it. If you get it at the very end of a round, it can simply be the end of your run just like that.

Or, alternatively, keep it at 0%, but allow us to end the round early. I had literally half of the required coins, which would have let me increase my interest significantly and squeak by no matter what, but because you are forced to use every single spin, I lost it all and simply wasn't able to recover. (My pepper got used, my button had no more presses, and my damn coin triggered and caused the final blow).

There's no choice to it, is the problem. I didn't choose to continue spinning, I had to, and I lost everything at the very end because of stuff entirely out of my control (no bible in the shop)

tldr: Keep it punishing but allow the player to do more about it, or keep the player without control (Bible doesn't really count, unless it were made an item you could purchase at any point in time rather than RNG) but make the punishment less severe.

I had the bible activate on the first spin of a round....
