cc and mods

i have pressed enable custom content and restarted the game,but it just keeps showing'disabled custom content'after i restarted,I have tried for over ten times and it is still not working,what can i do to fix this???

I played a bit over an hours, I had 1 crash, just as I finished making my family in CAS, but otherwise it has worked great.

1. Does the old mods for sims 2 still work? I got both new itesm/recolored items and mods that tweak settings. like no greet every day kids come home from school, it's vute the first time, not so much the 50th time. , no sparkeling food from garden and stuff like that.
2. Where do I unpack the mods?
3. Can I still use Sim Pe to adjust the age?

Any help wolld be highly appriciated.

Hey. I just unpacked all CC I have into Documents -> EA Games -> Downloads (had to create the downloads folder. Also keep in mind NOT to install within the Program Files x86 Folder, I was making that mistake at first), and after enabling CC in the game, everything works as it should.

1) all mods and cc from the original still work. i saw someone mention they had to update a single mod but it's unlikely that the majority of mods are broken. cc in general should be completely fine
2) it's still the exact same method as before so check your documents folder, open the EA Games folder and there should be a folder in there that says The Sims 2 Legacy. create a folder called Downloads. that's where you put all your mods and cc
3) i'm assuming so, yes. they didn't change how the game works or anything so everything should still work the exact same as before

Figured it out it works, but I have to load the game twice to make it work. Even Sim PE, wich I use to change the lenght off eacg age stage works.

C:\Users\User\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy See if you can find it there. There will not be a mod or download file there. But just create a file named Downloads in the folder and put your CC and mods inside that folder and it should work. OPPS. I had to restart the game, click to turn on CC, then exist and start the game again for the CC to show up.

what do you mean? are you talking about the EA Games folder? it should be in your main documents folder, as i said. it will not appear in your games main directory. the path should look like C:\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy

what do you mean by 'NOT to install within the Program Files x86 Folder' ?
are you talking about the Downloads file where the cc are placed in or something else?

I seem to be having some problem. I can't install custom lots (tried Clean Installer and it doesn't seem to be doing anything), some of my .package files don't seem to work in-game, and there's a problem with custom skin tones where the window that pops up remains on the screen, locking CAS out.

H-help? I haven't done any of this in well over 10 years.

Can someone explain how i get mods in the game? I downloaded some lots install them with sims2packcleaner but the wont show up in my game.

the sims2plackcleaner makes a new sims 2 map with een folder teleport in it but i dont know what to do.

it was The Sims 2 Body shop that allowed you to download custom lots into your game, but for some reason EA decided not to include this in the Sims 2 Legacy verison

having a diff issue with my cc (i play on ea) i only have a few mods involving cas and tried removing them i know its a mod issue i removed my mods folder and it worked fine but basically when i go into cas and create a sim there is no ui?? like to give them a name and change their clothes and what not there is none of that, only to add a sim and give them a family name

It's hit or miss. MATY's ffs lot debugger is not showing up, which makes me think a lot of other gameplay and utility mods aren't working. Not only do custom skins not work, but if you click on them, your game freezes & you need to close out via task manager.

I thought I was having issues too, but yeah you just need to restart the game a couple times and the mods will suddenly start working.
