Does this require EA app and Internet?
Does this require me to use that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid EA app and have a persistent online connection?

It was delisted from abandonware sites, and I'm more than happy to buy it, mod it, and play it...but not if I need that ♥♥♥♥.

Almost bought it but in VERY tiny text at the bottom it said that the EA account/App/persistent online was required

All EA games require the EA app. Not sure about the internet, but probably.

It does tell you on the store page if you have read it. It is about halfway down.

yeah, but usually the yellow bit on the right has that info for EA games, which is why I asked for clarification.

No, it's not using EA app.
There's no Denuvo either.

The shop tricked everybody, you don't need to worry about that.
Furthermore I guess they'll remove these tags soon;
The real problem is, it's not working on modern computers, the game is absolutely broken ~sadly~. so keep it in mind.

I hope so.
EA already told us via Twitter and Sims Website they're working on patches.
If they don't do that, probably some mod on the near future will!

Cool; if the binary runs outside of steam (Sans DRM) then I'll archive the .exe for myself as it should be.
