Do these copies have the stuff you could only download from the official sims site?

There was a time where developers gave out free dlc's. Alot of them were some of the best stuff too.

Does it have the stuff you could download from the official website that they had for sims 1? The developers at that time had mini dlc's like the magic bookshelf where you could store items in it. Does it have these? For example, this one:

I remember they did this with morrowind too, where a developer made plugins for the game, which were some of the best stuff, like the teleport plugin dlc.

This bookshelf let you store as much magic ingredients you could. It was better than having your inventory full of the item.

They may not have that in the game. It is licensed stuff, so it may of gotten removed.

Nope, Pepsi machine, McDonald's stand and Intel computer are not part of this game version. You can download it on archive.org though. Search for "The Sims 1 Branded Objects" there. But the files downloaded are exe patches and they can't find the install location of Steam version of The Sims. If anyone finds a way to install them let me know!

Hey, I just got those files and it's pretty easy to get them into the game. Just download them and then use 7zip to open the exe as an archive. You will see the name of the items in the archive as a folder. Extract the folder into the "Downloads" directory in your Sims install. Then they will just show up like normal. Most old exe files like that are not encrypted or anything so you can just browse them like a normal zip file.

I just did them and they all showed up. If you need help let me know.

Would be great to have a list of what did and did not make it, none of the skin packs did it would seem, or the Japanese only ones. But it seems some of the objects made it in?

Alright so I just decided to make the list myself, however I have no idea if its exhaustive as this stuff is poorly documented, my only real resource was TheSimsDepot, which could be incomplete.

What's not included:
-Intel® "The Gila Monster" Object
-Pepsi Machine
-Green Bedroom Set
-McDonald's Food Kiosk
-Reverse Sweeping Stairs
-TV Commercials
-Double Deluxe Object packs 1/2/3.Far files
-None of the bonus houses
-None of the bonus skins, or the Japanese exclusive skins.
-Elle Woods (completely lost)

The Double Deluxe Object packs had all their textures included, but not their .far files, unsure if those add anything but since pack 2 only had a .far file and no textures, Ill chalk them up as not included

Tucked away within the download for the QueenVivRoses was StairsweepingReverse and TV Commercials, which were not on the site nor do they appear to be ingame (unless they were renamed) I did not check every file so who knows if more is hidden.

Id like to say I got everything, but we have no way of knowing as this stuff has zero documentation, and even thesimsdepot where I got all of this, was missing tons of skins, so who knows what's out there.

The tl;dr is that everything that's included in Complete Collection is included, and we have the SimCity4 vending machine in lieu of the Pepsi machine.

Also I want to add that both McDonald's food kiosks are not included.

If you are using Linux, you can unzip the .exe files with: unzip <file_name>.exe

You can find a lot of the extra objects on archive.org, but I found https://iliveforsleep.livejournal.com/64923.html an excellent guide.

There are many additional skins.
